The new appointee assumes the leadership position at the development studio following the dismissal of former leader Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' underwhelming early showing last autumn.

On Wednesday, the company's top executive David Ismailer informed employees about this organizational change through an internal memo, which stressed that playtesting had indicated the necessity for a clearer direction.

The president stated that the developers is now refining the project with a refreshed vision, aiming to better meet community desires.

The news mirrors a comparable step taken by 2K Games in August, when they hired Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.

Given your hard work and flexibility, especially over the past twelve months, you repeatedly show that.

The player input from last autumn’s the game testing phase was enlightening. It validated the promise of a action-packed game but indicated we still had work to do. It revealed the need for a clearer vision.

It has been motivating to see how far you’ve progressed. You took the input to heart and reimagined the title with a refreshed vision - one that’s poised to fulfill its potential to our fans.

The belief in this project increases every day. To boost the remarkable advancement you’ve made, I’m excited to welcome Ben Brinkman as the latest Director of 31st Union. Following a period of discussions, Ben officially joins us on next week.

Ben’s management and experience in the PVP shooter genre is considerable, having dedicated the past decade and a half developing and managing some of the most well-known franchises in the industry, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, and more recently, the battle royale hit.
